What We Believe

Our beliefs are what our hopes are built on, they strengthen our faith and help establish our way of life. Thank you for taking the time to review these precious truths we hold so dear.

God, the Bible and Sin

We believe in the one true God, in the persons of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God and thereby the standard from which we judge all things.

We believe that all of mankind are born as sinners and are separated from God. This will result in a just and certain punishment at the return of Jesus who will judge the living and the dead. That punishment involves being cast into the lake of fire which was reserved for the devil and his angels and the end of the ages. The only way to avoid such a punishment is by experiencing the new birth. The new birth is offered to all regardless of race, economic situation, gender, or age by grace through faith in Christ.

We believe the only way to experience the new birth is by being born again as Jesus declared to Nicodemus in John’s gospel account. New birth produces a new creation as described in 2 Corinthians 5:17 which is evident by a changed life. A changed life that has turned from sin to follow Jesus as one of His disciples. We believe our new birth brings
deliverance from death, and the condemnation of the Law of God, giving us eternal life in Jesus Christ where we now are able to walk according to the Holy Spirit who indwells and guides us.

Church Function and Life

We believe the goal of the Church is to advance Christ's kingdom in the earth through the faithful practice of a new life of faith and the proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the present day equipping ministries of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, and Pastor/Teacher, and the pattern of Divine Church Government as shown in the fourth chapter of Ephesians, the Book of Acts, 1Timothy, and Titus.

We believe in the New Testament structure of the Church as being involved in the Sunday Congregational meetings as well as other diverse weekly gatherings without partiality towards ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender at birth, or age.

We believe in the body of Christ, the Church, as revealed in the Bible, and the importance of each individual member, and of the God given functions of each member as recognized by the Church and it's leadership.

Salvation, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit

We believe in water baptism by immersion for believers only, and the right to partake in the Lord's supper for believers only.

We believe in the Virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection, ascension, glorification of Jesus Christ, and His soon return.

We believe in the justification and sanctification of the believer through the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross, the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit very personally involved in the believer's life, and the resurrection of the believer to an incorruptible body at Christ’s return.

We believe in the availability of a personal Pentecost for all Christians today, and the full working of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as prescribed in the book of Corinthians.
